You need a couple good rod and reels, one for great casting, which still needs to be strong test line,cause bringing in a 50lb tuna will test you and your gear ..and a good quality trolling reel,again with lots of good strong line,and leader,, lines down here average 30 to 80 lb test, and leader,for big fish 60 to 150 lb test...
main thing is to remember that in salt water, anything is about possible,,lures work fine, live bait is often better, and for big fish,, trolling with live bait that is 3 to 5 lbs is common,,, believe it or not!!!!! Ken
